Q: What is the best time of year to plant a tree?
A: For most trees, the answer is fall. Trees benefit from being planted when they are dormant, after leaves have fallen. And it’s less work because they won’t require frequent watering.
Q: My organization wants to participate in tree planting with Replant Clarksville. What can we do?
A: Replant Clarksville will begin conducting volunteer events with organizations and groups in 2026. Please reach out to us in early 2026. Until then, your members are welcome to join the Outreach and Education Committee at our regular meetings and volunteer opportunities.
Q: What is the difference between Replant Clarksville and other tree planting programs that operate in Clarksville?
A: Replant Clarksville is the only non-profit planting and maintaining large-caliper (1.5-2 inches in diameter) in Clarksville. We are happy to support and collaborate with related programs such as the Tennessee Tree Day program of the Tennessee Environmental Council which sells (at great low prices!) small bare-root tree seedlings and distributes them at sites across the state and in Montgomery County.
